About:
Barbara Shaterian is a BFA student studying photography at the University of Minnesota. Before attending the U she was a bread baker, croissant maker, and ran a successful bakery with her former partner. She photographs urban and natural landscapes, which means weeds, trees, grasses, and peeling paint, as well as portraits that push back against the eternal male gaze. An avid hiker and biker, Barbara likes to scout out remote locations to photograph.
